The Thuja plicata (Western Red Cedar) for example, is 12 metres tall and its root ball has a diameter of more than 220 centimetres. The total weight of the giant tree is approx. 7 tons.
We love going to the sites and seeing the delivery, planting and the “new garden image”!
In some cases, a special crane has to be used, which makes it possible to lift trees, even over houses. Last December, we lifted a five ton Fagus sylvatica ‘Atropunicea’ (Purple European Beach) 30 metres over a house into the garden.
Here common lime trees (Tilia europaea ´Pallida´ Solbaum 60-70cm) were being unloaded ready for planting in an avenue. As soon as the 14 trees have been planted, the old avenue character is there.
In order to guarantee the quality of our trees, we flag the plants with our flagging tape.
The future owners of the tree receive various photos of it in advance. On the day of delivery the clients recognize “their tree” straight away.
