Magnolia in its full splendour

The history of development of the Magnolia family (Magnoliaceae) is more than 100 million years old.

This spring, we have discovered many different Magnolia varieties and types in beautiful blossom.


Magnolia denudata ‘Double Diamond’- This magnolia originates from China and has a beautiful, pure white blossom before the leaves shoot.

The star Magnolia – Magnolia stellate – is a classic. It succeeds in impressing us time and time again with its explosion of flowers.

The hybrid of Magnolia kobus and Magnolia stellate: the Magnolia x loebneri ‘Merrill’ is particularly suitable as a flowering tree. Even the furry buds in winter are a beautiful ornament.

Magnolia ‘Betty’presents a pink-coloured blossom and smells of lemon grass!

Yellow blossoms are also available – Magnolia Goldstar x Woodsman.

Magnolias can also impress with their leaves. For example, the leaves of the Magnolia tripetala from North America can grow to up to 60cm long!
