Carpinus betulus `Monumentalis´ are truly impressive figures, which stand out due to their regularity and their dense branches. They grow extremely slowly and compact and conjure up yellow fireworks with their autumnal colouring in every park or garden. With a height of up to 18 m, it never fails to amaze me how perfectly formed the Carpinus betulus `Fastigiata´ are.

The hornbeam is extremely adaptable; healthy foliage and a wide amplitude of possible locations make this variety a good selection for almost every planting situation. I especially like the unbelievable diversity of growth shapes and the high tolerance to pruning that the Carpinus has.
