The East Indian Tea Company found the landscape architect Claudia Schaaf’s idea to create a tea garden particularly good! Although: how was this going to be successful in the north German climate? The search for plants similar to tea which should not be processed or consumed – led us to Prunus Lusitanica `Angustifolia’. The shiny, evergreen reminds us of the tea plant and their order in dense rows gives us a hint of a tropical climate.

With the large Amnelanchier-lamarckii-umbrella trees, the tree growth was a success. Stones of black shale correspond very well with the whole complex. We are amazed: Bottoms up!
